running behind the bus.....

i am sooo behind in my blogging. i have gotten sooo much done (at least it feels like it) but I just have not had the time (read: patience) to sit down and put it all in one place!

this past weekend i made a trip to NewJobCity where my FI lives.....and honestly i need to rename that city.....hmmmm.....so lets call it PlaceIwillSoonLive. at least for now....thats kinda long too......actually this city is large enough that i might feel comfortable just posting where it is.....hmmmm

what was i talking about???

oh, yeah.

i've gotten sooo much done!!!

most notably, I've:

-talked to a florist. discussed the vision. got a quote that was over budget. went home and lamented over not having enough money. calmed down. came up with a new vision. need to call florist back with new ideas and see how much that would cost us.

-figured out what the men will be wearing on the big day! even what LR will be wearing and he will be sharp. sharp as a tack. i'm smiling thinking about it. that excursion was a lot more difficult that i thought it would be. whew.....

-started our bridal registry. this was hands down, the most tiring, yet fun thing we did on this trip! i have had a ball culling my registry online. this was another experience that i had looked up advice for, then promptly forgot it all. and was worn out before we even got thru the presentation on china. man.......

so these are the big three and i promise to post details on each one, just wanted to pop in bc i was feeling all guilty over not blogging.

Hi there -- just responding to your comment about dresses and support! I'd be glad to help, but I'm not sure what else there is to say besides what you read on Weddingbee. You can email me (restricted.view AT yahoo) if you have any specific questions I can answer...

Aw, don't feel guilty! I really should see a florist, shouldn't I? And think about Baddie's attire too I guess!

Lady T, you have GOT to check out 2G roses at freshroses.com for your wedding. For $302, I had 10 table centerpieces (18 roses apiece) and 4 bouquets of gorgeous roses, with greens. Best of all, they have TONS of flowers to choose from.

The catch, of course, is that you have to arrange them yourself. But the flowers are delivered two days before the wedding, so it's plenty of time when you've got a friend or two to help you out.

Can I make a suggestion? Do not skimp on flowers. They were the most beautiful part of my wedding, and though we hardly spent anything, I spent the most on flowers. You will thank me when your proofs come after the wedding; the flowers make the mood.

Just my two cents, of course. :-)

I am positive that whatever you get will be beautiful - you've already proven you have wonderful taste! :-)

Lady T -- I've been a bad blogger lately too! My wedding is in less than 90 days and we haven't even looked at tuxes or wedding bands. Ugh. I agree that you shouldn't skimp on flowers; however, you also don't need to pay through the nose for them. Do lots of research!

we had the best time doing our registry.. we got the scan gun at Bed Bath and beyond and just picked out a bunch of stuff we would never buy for ourselves.. We have tons of china so that was not needed.. Love all the goodies we got.. We just clicked away and even picked out a few very pricey items.. and shockingly those were gotten for us too.. it was a blast..
