Maid Out?

I may be losing a bridesmaid.....

i emailed my most elusive maid today at work. just last week, she sent me her work addy. its better than nothing. i have spoken to her more over email in the last few days than i have this year (why is she my bm?)

anywho......she has been dealing with some strange symptoms......and doctors seem to be honing in on her condition....and she is straight out depressed. she deals with that from time to time.......turns out it might be part of this mysterious ailment that she has......due to symptoms that affect her skin, she is not feeling comfortable about wearing a strapless dress.

she is not thinking a shawl will cut is and doesnt want to look like a grandma with all her skin covered. she suggest it may be better to get one of LR female family members to fill in her spot.

i think: lets not get drastic here!!!

i tell her that whatever she needs to wear to be comfortable is fine with me. i tell her that another bm will be wearing the jacket/bolero, so she wont look out of place if thats what she is concerned about......this is all thru email.....and i dont have an answer yet. she said work was crazy and that she'd talk to me later. code for stalling so she can think out her options.....whatever she wants to do is cool with me...honestly, i just want her there.

she doesnt have to be a bm if she doesnt want to or is not up to it. its kind of exasperating giving our friendship over the years, but i cant say this throws me for that big of a loop....though it is still startling........but i wont replace her with any of his female family members. i'll just have 5 bms instead of 6. i just dont want to deal with his sister.......sigh
