a combination of factors have me all dry, itchy, and flaky.
and its NOT cute.
Allergies, dehydration, and probably stress have me dry and itchy from my heels to my scalp. the condition got worse over the weekend since i forgot to take bottled water with me when i met up with LR for his bday.
my skin feels all tight on my fingers as i type this..........having raven tresses is not an asset at the moment as my scalp is kinda flaky which is kinda skanky looking....
man......this sucks........
not sure what i should be rubbing on myself. should i do cortisone? Eucercin? (what i'm using now) some other miracle salve i could be applying???
i dont really know.....but would like to get things in order sooner than later. its early but i dont need any new skin issues within shooting distance of the wedding.
In 2 days my ticker will officially read 5 months and blank weeks and thats gonna be wild. its going to be wild bc i will be really needing to get things together.
i've been kinda stalled the last few weeks. not really getting anything done, done. lots of thinking and stuff, but no checks to be checked off......and i'd really like to get on that.
The wedding season has officially started and brides all around me, on the web and in real life are getting ready for that walk down the aisle......i know that it wont seem close as others are getting married in the summer....but come August, suddenly the dust will clear and my family and friends will no doubt say
"Wow, you're getting married really soon"
and i will reply.....
"Yeah, I know"
It will sneak up on them, but not me.....bc i prayerfully wont have anything left to do by August except stuff my invitations and get them in the mail.
What do i need to get a move on ASAP?
FLORIST- i put this in caps bc this is a major element to so many weddings and i still dont have a true clue as to what this will cost me.
Baker- Patty cake, patty cake, baker's man......
Audio Rental- so peeps can hear me and the hubby committing for life. whats the point if you can't hear us?
Ceremony Musicians or a CD?- I need to make a choice. a cd would be sooo much cheaper and easier here. it really would. i've got our friend playing for my entrance but i didnt want to do that for the prelude or when the others walk down the aisle....cuz i'm special.
Registry- frikkin' presents! heck yeah! i'm all for that. its tacky but i am sooo expecting some gifts here. yes, ma'am....might as well be honest. "We want you to be there to share your love and give us gifts", lol......
Invitations- yeah. i'd love to finalize those....and know they were getting printed. Its looking like we may need to do the enclosures ourselves. Postage is gonna be a pretty hefty expense too. i just had to have the square invites. had to.
i got a list a mile long, but this is the stuff that needs to be happening in May. this is the stuff that i need to say "Yeah, I did that" by June.
I'm still waiting to hear whether or not that last bm is gonna stick it out or not......
and just for kicks: I'm kinda hoping and wishing I will be one of those lucky brides whose dress comes in really early. Supposedly my dress will be here mid to late August. But I am completely ok with it getting here in June. Puh-leeease??? then i can access whether my back fat will be a problem or not and I can jump on a remedy.

Hello! Have you thought about doing a wedding website that allows your guests to rsvp online? Then you don't have to purchase the reply card, reply envelopes, or the reply postage! This is what we are doing -- you can check out our website at www.christinaanddaryl.com. It is an easy way to save. Okay, so this is going to sound totally gross -- but my fiance gets very dry skin on his arms and he uses something called "bag balm" -- it was originally designed for cows udders, but you can buy it in the drug store. My mom also uses it for her elbows (she gets psoriasis).
Oh man, we really are approaching t minus six months here, aren't we?
Get drinking lots of water and slathering that cream, baby! Have you tried body oils before bed? Even just cheap baby oil... rub it in while your skin is still wet and it locks in so much moisture... a bit greasy but well worth it!
P.S. Frickin' yeah on the presents!
I added you to my blogroll tonight, let me know if that's not okay!
Thanks for the link for the tuxedos. I love your comment on my blog about vanity. I see that I am not alone.
